The itTaxi app is the technological platform through which many radio taxi companies from major Italian cities have integrated and consolidated their mobility services. It represents the largest national project in the transportation sector, brought together under a stable consortium called itTaxi.
Launched in 2012 thanks to the revolutionary initiative of URI – Unione dei Radiotaxi d’Italia (inserire il link al sito di URI), the ItTaxi project has been a pioneer in Europe: a 100% Italian technology, strictly owned by taxi drivers and at the forefront of technology.
The initiative, achieved with an unprecedented level of innovation in the public transportation sector, stands as a unique reference point nationally and internationally. Through this service unification project, it guarantees all taxi drivers and passengers a superior, safe and efficient experience.
ItTaxi is now a benchmark in researching and implementing reliable and innovative transportation services, fully complying with current industry regulations, existing fare systems and legal protections.
The itTaxi app offers users the convenience of booking a taxi through mobile devices or computers, with a quick, intuitive process that fully meets the needs of the type of vehicle and journey. With real-time vehicle localization on the map, users can track the taxi’s arrival. Additionally, the app provides various payment options, prioritizing digital payments, and includes a review and rating system to enable users to make informed choices before booking a trip.
itTaxi has also developed a Business sector, providing the option to manage taxi rides through a subscription system.
Subscribers to itTaxi Business can use the service for taxi payments in all affiliated cities across Italy.
In May 2022, ItTaxi entered into a groundbreaking partnership with the global company Uber, enabling taxi drivers to receive Uber rides directly through the ItTaxi app.
